While the season may have been a struggle on the ice, one of the bright spots for the Morris/Benson Area girls' hockey team was the play of their freshman goaltender.
Not only was Abbey Hoffman voted the Most Improved player for the Storm this season, she was also chosen as the team's MVP.
Hoffman was in the net for every game this season (3-16) and allowed an average of 6 goals per game this season, but also averaged 23.5 saves per game and had a .788 saves percentage.
Junior Hanna Lindblad led MBA with 16 points (7 goals, 9 assists) this season and was selected as Offensive MVP.
The Most Valuable Defenseman award went to senior Abby Daly, while seventh-grader Micah Summer earned the Hustle Award.
In addition to Daly, the Storm will lose Emily Walz as a graduating senior.
